Job Opportunity: Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:

Will assist the Controller with day-to-day accounting functions through data entry and vendor interface.

General Accountabilities:

  • Will receive vendor invoices and inquiries via email and enter information into Workamajig; Responds to vendor inquiries regarding payment, etc.
  • Maintains and manages the addition of new vendors; Ensure proper receipt and filing of ‘Non-Disclosure’ agreements
  • Will research, code and process credit card transaction into Workamajig
  • Distributes ‘File Copy’ vendor invoices to the proper job bag
  • Will file and maintain ‘Original Copy’ vendor invoices in accounting department
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Will verify and update constantly, the accounting information in Workamajig as it relates to billing and purchasing

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • Field-of-Expertise: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles preferred

  • Mathematics – Has the ability to understand accounting principles
  • Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions
